Cheaper?

What is the true cost of an increase of natural gas production? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the study here does not address the CO2 of extraction of natural gas, only the amount of emissions from burning. What is needed is a study that has a comparison of total emissions of CO2 from production to consumption. A comprehensive study would include emissions from all combustion machinery used in the process of extraction of fossil fuels to their end-use. Other factors including long-term economic impact of the region where production occurs and the health of workers and local residents who are exposed to toxic chemicals and pollution.

A Candle That Burns Twice As Bright...

...burns half as long.

Today's technology takes that and places it squarely on its head. Advances in lighting technologies and a re-think of electric light usage are placing a spot light on the path to twice the brightness and half the energy.
